The official U.S. Border Patrol account recently shared a video showcasing efforts to secure the southern border under President Donald Trump.

The video, which quickly gained traction online, was posted on Instagram and later shared on X by the 27th Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, Michael W. Banks.

The post was captioned, “Shut it down. Let’s go!”

The video features footage of border security operations, including sweeping views of the border wall and a Border Patrol vehicle patrolling the area.

The clip is set to the song Look At Me Now by Chris Brown, featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes.

The opening lyrics, “I don’t see how you can hate from outside of the club. You can’t even get in,” have been interpreted by many as a direct message to those attempting to enter the country illegally.

The video comes as the Trump administration continues to enforce strict border security measures.

Reports indicate that the number of illegal crossings has plummeted since Trump took office in January.

According to Fox News, Border Patrol agents are now recording an average of just 77 illegal “gotaways” per day.

This marks a dramatic reduction from the peak of the Biden-era border crisis, when more than 1,800 illegal immigrants were slipping through undetected daily.

The 95% decrease is being attributed to enhanced surveillance and advanced tracking technology.

A “Border Brief” published by the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security further details the sharp decline in illegal border crossings.

In February 2025, U.S. Customs and Border Protection recorded 11,709 encounters at the southern border.

This represents a massive drop compared to February 2024, when under the Biden-Harris administration, there were 189,913 encounters.

President Trump has repeatedly criticized his predecessor’s handling of border security, arguing that the Biden-Harris administration misrepresented data regarding the number of illegal immigrants who were released into the U.S. under “catch and release” policies.

“Biden fudged the numbers,” Trump said during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. “The numbers were totally fake, and he gave fake numbers. I knew they were fake. Everybody knew they were fake, but now it came out.”

“And terrible what — what they did. That administration was a horror show for this country.”

Many of the “arrests” that the Biden admin reported were actually not arrested and they were released into our country‼️ https://t.co/dUvqf0EgmU pic.twitter.com/6m1rGBDQcb

The sharp turnaround in border enforcement under Trump has drawn praise from conservatives who argue that securing the border was always a matter of political will.

While Biden and his allies claimed the crisis was beyond their control, the new administration has implemented policies that have drastically reduced illegal crossings in just over a month.

The viral Border Patrol video is being seen as a symbol of this shift, highlighting the difference in enforcement priorities between the two administrations.

As border security continues to be a central issue, the dramatic decline in illegal immigration figures is expected to remain a key talking point heading into future policy discussions.
