Texas is extending significant support to the incoming Trump administration by offering over 1,400 acres of land in Starr County to facilitate its planned mass deportation operation.

Former President Donald Trump wraps up a rally on Oct. 9, 2021, in Des Moines.

The land, purchased by the state in October, is located in the Rio Grande Valley sector near the U.S.-Mexico border and was previously part of a private ranch.

Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham officially proposed the use of the land in a letter to President-elect Donald Trump, which was obtained by Fox News Digital.

In the letter, Buckingham expressed the state’s readiness to collaborate with federal agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), or U.S. Border Patrol to build facilities for the detention and deportation of violent criminals.

“What I care about is that we have safe communities, and there is no doubt that we are losing too many of our children to these violent criminals that are coming across the border,” Buckingham said in an interview with Fox News Digital.

“I am 100% on board with the Trump administration’s pledge to get these criminals out of our country, and we are more than happy to offer our resources to facilitate those deportations.”

The land was purchased by the Texas General Land Office specifically for border security purposes, including the construction of additional border wall infrastructure.

The Biden-Harris administration halted the wall project, leaving the area vulnerable to drug smuggling and human trafficking, according to state officials.

President-elect Trump made mass deportation a cornerstone of his 2024 presidential campaign, pledging to conduct the largest removal of violent criminal aliens in the nation’s history.

Since his election victory, his transition team has begun planning the logistics of this ambitious operation, including identifying locations for detention and processing facilities.

“This election was a resounding referendum on the fact that Americans want safe communities,” Buckingham said. “We want people to immigrate legally and legally only, and the administration’s policies over the last four years have failed every American citizen.”

Trump’s plan has already encountered opposition from governors in states such as Arizona, Illinois, and Massachusetts, who have signaled their intent to resist federal deportation efforts.

However, this resistance is not expected to deter the administration from moving forward with its strategy.

The Trump administration’s focus on border security and immigration reform represents a sharp shift from the Biden-Harris administration’s policies, which many conservatives criticized as too lenient.

Texas, under Republican leadership, has consistently positioned itself as a partner in the enforcement of stricter immigration policies.

The proposed site in Starr County could play a pivotal role in the deportation effort, providing the necessary infrastructure to manage a high volume of detainees.

The project aligns with Texas’s broader goals of enhancing border security and combating illegal activity along the southern border.

While the Biden-Harris administration halted border wall construction, the Trump administration is expected to prioritize projects like this, with Texas offering its resources to assist in the effort.

As the transition team continues preparations, Buckingham’s proposal underscores Texas’s commitment to supporting federal immigration enforcement.

With the land offer in place, the incoming administration is set to begin its mass deportation initiative in January, marking a significant step in fulfilling Trump’s campaign promise to secure the border and uphold the rule of law.
