After years of legal drama and emotional turmoil, Brad Pitt is finally speaking candidly about life post-divorce from Angelina Jolie.

Their high-profile split was one of the most publicly scrutinized celebrity separations in recent memory, but months after it was legally finalized, Pitt is opening up with humility and a forward-looking mindset.

Back in December 2024, Pitt and Jolie officially ended their marriage after an excruciating eight-year court battle.

Jolie had initially filed for divorce in 2016, mere days after a private jet incident in which she accused Pitt of abusive behavior toward her and their six children.

The long and bitter legal proceedings that followed kept the public riveted and the former couple at odds. But now, with the final chapter of their marriage behind him, Pitt appears ready to turn the page.

Last week, the 61-year-old actor stepped onto the red carpet at the premiere of his new film F1 in Mexico City.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Pitt offered rare insight into how he’s processing this new phase of life and the lessons he’s learned along the way.

“No matter the mistake, you know, you just learn from [it] and move on,” Pitt said when asked what’s currently grounding him.

“It’ll lead to the next success,” he added with conviction.

Pitt also reflected on the significance of relationships and community in maintaining a sense of balance and fulfillment. Now in his sixties, he’s clearly placing more value on those closest to him.

“I see how important it is to surround yourself with the people you know, the people you love, the people that love you back,” he explained. “Friends, family, and that’s it. From there, we get to go make things. It’s a pretty simple, I think, equation.”

These heartfelt remarks came just two weeks after Pitt finally broke his silence about the official end of his marriage. In a GQ interview, he was asked if the divorce’s conclusion brought him a sense of “relief.”

“No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing,” Pitt responded coolly. “Just something coming to fruition. Legally.”

Though his comments may have seemed understated, those close to the actor say the finalized divorce has lifted a weight from his shoulders.

Back in March, a source told People magazine that Pitt is “happy that the divorce is behind him. Things are low-key for the family.”

The same insider also noted that Pitt has found happiness in his relationship with 32-year-old jewelry designer Ines de Ramon. The pair have been romantically linked since 2022.

“They’re in a great place,” the source said. “Life’s good, no complaints.”

Meanwhile, Jolie was quicker to make her perspective known. Her attorney, James Simon, released a statement to Us Weekly shortly after the divorce was finalized last December.

“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt.

She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family,” Simon said.

“This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago,” he continued. “Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”

The couple’s relationship once captivated the world. They met on the set of the 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, sparking a romance that led to Pitt’s split from then-wife Jennifer Aniston.

Pitt and Jolie went on to become one of Hollywood’s most glamorous and talked-about couples, ultimately marrying in 2014 at their vineyard estate Château Miraval in France.

But the fairy tale was short-lived. Jolie filed for divorce just two years later, citing irreconcilable differences — and what followed was a prolonged legal entanglement involving custody disputes, property disagreements, and serious allegations.

Both Pitt and Jolie are Oscar-winning actors and longtime fixtures in the entertainment industry.

Their divorce, like their relationship, became constant fodder for tabloids and social media speculation. But now, with the legal process complete and a renewed focus on healing and growth, both stars appear determined to move forward.

As Pitt continues to focus on personal growth, creative endeavors, and the people who bring value to his life, it’s clear he’s striving to learn from the past rather than be weighed down by it. “No matter the mistake… you just learn from [it] and move on,” his words echo — not just as a statement of acceptance, but as a promise to do better in the chapters ahead.

For the sake of their six children and their own peace of mind, we can only hope that both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie continue to find healing, happiness, and closure after such a long and painful ordeal.
