BREAKING: That Guy Arrested for Assaulting Federal Agent? He Was DOJ Attorney

Nobody is above the law, right?

Whenever a Democrat says that, you should read: “Democrats are above the law.” In fact, most Democrats live by the motto “L’Etat c’est moi.” 

During Trump’s first term, the FBI and the intelligence community broke so many laws in their efforts to get Trump that it could be classified as a crime spree. It’s looking like James Comey and John Brennan are in serious legal trouble, not to mention Adam Schiff and Letitia James, who will likely escape justice for their lawfare and leaking of classified information, but could go down for their mortgage frauds. 

But the rot goes much deeper than most people realize. The denizens of the Deep State really believe that they are the rightful rulers in our country, and the defenders of “democracy”–meaning the rule of the administrative state and the transnational elite. Which is why DOJ lawyers feel great about lying to the FISA Court, or even assaulting–in public–federal agents.

You would think a lawyer–particularly one who works for the DOJ–would know better than to assault a federal law enforcement officer. But if you thought that, you misunderstood the mindset of those in the Deep State. They really DO believe that they rule over our lives. “Do you know who I AM?” They have lived so long in a world where they not only have impunity, but also get celebrated for breaking the law if it harms conservatives. 

The media colluded with James Comey–and have rewarded him handsomely–for leaking sensitive national security documents and actual hoaxes, because he was harming Donald Trump. James Clapper and John Brennan committed perjury before Congress, and they are regular commentators on TV. 

So when a lawyer at the DOJ gets annoyed, nothing seems more natural than striking out at the hoi polloi.

You will NOT work in this administration while disrespecting our government and law enforcement.

You may be thinking, “It’s just a sandwich,” and you would be totally wrong to assume that this is OK. The whole point is that a DOJ lawyer is directly attacking the rule of law and feels that it is his right. 

Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed Thursday that the man arrested after he allegedly threw a Subway sandwich at a law enforcement officer was a Department of Justice (DOJ) employee.

United States Attorney Jeanine Pirro of the District of Columbia warned in a post on X Wednesday that those who assaulted cops would be charged, referencing the man, Charles Dunn, who was arrested after the incident. Bondi announced in a post on X that the man worked for the DOJ, but he has since been fired. 

It’s bad enough that a lawyer is doing this–unsurprising, of course, as judges are now routinely breaking the law as they please–but that he works for the DOJ is not only worse, but also instructive. 

The Deep State genuinely believes they have the right to rule, and rule as Louis XVI ruled–as and when they please. The rules don’t apply to them because the rules are exactly what they say they are at any moment. Theoretically, but only theoretically these days, the DOJ works for the elected president. But in their mind, they are the state. 

L’Etat c’est moi.

The now-former DOJ employee, who was an international affairs specialist in the Office of International Affairs for the Criminal Division, according to a DOJ official who spoke with the Daily Caller News Foundation, was allegedly seen in a video posted on X yelling at the law enforcement officer before he threw the sandwich at the officer and took off running. The officers apprehended the man after a foot chase.

“The president’s message to the criminals was, ‘If you spit, we hit,’” Pirro said in the video she posted on X Wednesday. “Well, we didn’t quite do that the other night when an individual went up to one of the federal law enforcement officers and started jumping up and down, screaming at him, berating him, yelling at him.”

“And then he took a Subway sandwich … and took it and threw it at the officer. He thought it was funny,” Pirro continued. “Well, he doesn’t think it’s funny today because we charged him with a felony, assault on a police officer.”

No doubt Charles Dunn will wind up in a cushy job at a white shoe law firm run by Democrats, and give lectures at Harvard Law explaining that everybody must stand up against the Gestapo, but we can hope he does so only after a nice stint in jail. 

Probably not, though. Some lefty judge will let him off, I suppose. But we can dream.
