Brooklyn Man Stalked and Attacked After Suspect Allegedly Threatens to ‘Kill All the Jews’

A Brooklyn man was assaulted late Friday night after a woman allegedly stalked his family through their neighborhood while shouting antisemitic threats, including vows to kill Jews, before punching him in front of his wife and children, according to law enforcement sources, as reported by The New York Post.

Police arrested Isharae Summers, 35, in connection with the incident, which unfolded shortly before 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Nostrand and Willoughby avenues in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.

According to sources familiar with the investigation, the 26-year-old victim, an Orthodox Jewish man, was walking with his wife and their four children when Summers allegedly began following them.

The family lives nearby, just around the corner from where the confrontation occurred.

As the family continued their walk, Summers allegedly directed repeated threats and antisemitic remarks at them.

At one point, she allegedly yelled, “I’m going to choke you,” and “I’m going to kill all the Jews,” while continuing to trail the family through the neighborhood, sources said.

Authorities said the verbal threats escalated into physical violence when Summers allegedly struck the father in the chest and head.

The victim suffered pain and swelling as a result of the attack, according to law enforcement sources. His wife and children were not physically harmed.

The assault prompted an immediate police response. Officers later took Summers into custody. She was charged with assault and multiple counts of aggravated harassment as a hate crime, authorities confirmed.

Investigators said Summers also lives in the Bedford-Stuyvesant area.

The incident is being treated as a bias-motivated crime due to the alleged antisemitic statements made during the encounter and the targeting of the family based on their religious identity.

Law enforcement officials said the case remains under investigation, and additional charges are possible depending on further review of evidence and witness statements.

Prosecutors are expected to present the case in criminal court, where Summers will face the hate crime allegations tied to the assault.

The attack has drawn concern from local residents and members of the Jewish community, particularly given that the alleged threats were made in the presence of young children during what authorities described as an unprovoked encounter.

Police have not released information about a possible motive beyond the alleged statements made during the incident. The victim and his family are cooperating with investigators.

The New York Police Department has urged anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has additional information to contact authorities.

Officials emphasized that hate crimes are prosecuted aggressively under New York law and encouraged community members to report similar incidents immediately.
