Bulls Break Out And Run Wild In North Attleboro, Massachusetts [WATCH]

Eight bulls escaped from a rodeo at the Emerald Square Mall in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, on Sunday afternoon, sending first responders and local authorities into a frenzy as they attempted to corral the runaway animals.

The bulls charged through a crowded parking lot and toward nearby woods, temporarily halting the rodeo event and leaving one bull still on the loose.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when the bulls broke through fencing during the Festival Rodeo, a one-day event held in the mall’s parking lot.

Video footage captured the bulls charging through the lot, knocking over fencing and tents before heading toward U.S. Highway 1.

They eventually diverted into nearby woods for a brief moment of freedom.

The North Attleboro Fire Department, which had firefighters working a detail at the rodeo, quickly issued a warning to the community. “Community members should exercise extreme caution and not approach any bulls,” the department cautioned, underscoring the potential danger posed by the escaped animals.

Despite the chaos, no injuries were reported.

Firefighters and police, along with the Massachusetts Environmental Police and members of the New England Rodeo, immediately launched a search effort to round up the bulls.

While one bull was caught shortly after the breakout, the remaining seven continued to roam, making their way through woods and into residential neighborhoods in nearby Attleboro.

One local resident, Chris Mooney, expressed his shock when he spotted the bulls in his yard. “As soon as I stepped out and I looked out there, I said those aren’t horses, those are literally bulls and ‘oh my god,’” Mooney told NBC Connecticut.

Mooney and his two children remained inside their home to observe the unusual scene from a safe distance.

By 4:30 p.m., six of the bulls had trapped themselves behind a fence at a home on Prescott Street in Attleboro.

Rodeo employees, working with first responders, safely corralled the animals into a trailer without further incident.

Neighbors watched as the scene unfolded, relieved that the bulls were unharmed and safely removed.

Gee Sounthonevat, a neighbor of the homeowner where the bulls were found, shared his reaction to the escape. “At first I just felt bad for the bulls. I’m like – they escaped for a reason,” Sounthonevat said. “They had a fence and they corralled them into the trailer, and that was it.”

However, one bull remains unaccounted for, and authorities are still searching for the lone animal.

First responders have continued combing the area for any signs of the rogue bull.

The Festival Rodeo, which was the source of the escaped bulls, was shut down after the incident, and an investigation is underway to determine how the animals managed to escape.

The event, held at 999 S. Washington Street, attracted large crowds before the bulls made their dramatic exit.

The North Attleboro Fire Department emphasized that rodeo members and local authorities worked diligently to resolve the situation and prevent any harm to the animals or the public. “We are grateful that no one was injured during the escape,” a department spokesperson said. “The response from our team, along with the police and the rodeo staff, helped to bring the situation under control quickly.”

While the majority of the bulls have been safely captured, the search continues for the final escapee.

Authorities have asked residents to remain vigilant and avoid approaching the animal if spotted. The community has been urged to report any sightings to local law enforcement as the search effort proceeds.

The incident has left many locals talking, with some expressing their surprise at witnessing such an unusual sight in a suburban neighborhood.

Despite the disruption, the quick response from emergency services ensured a safe outcome for both the bulls and the residents.
