MSNBC’s Joy Reid is at it again. During a recent episode of The ReidOut, Reid compared Republican ads from the 2024 election cycle to propaganda tactics employed by the Nazis during World War II, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

This jaw-dropping statement highlights how detached Reid—and by extension, MSNBC—has become from the concerns of everyday Americans.

It’s hardly surprising that rumors suggest MSNBC’s president may soon step down. After all, the network continues to sink deeper into irrelevance. With commentary like this, it’s no wonder viewership has dwindled.

The network’s inability to connect with its audience is a self-inflicted wound, as evidenced by Reid’s rant.

During her segment, Reid lamented Tennessee’s law banning “gender-affirming care” for minors, a case currently before the Supreme Court. She claimed the law reflects an “age-old tradition” of targeting transgender individuals, likening it to Nazi Germany’s atrocities in the 1930s.

She didn’t stop there. Reid also criticized Republicans for spending $215 million on so-called “anti-trans” ads, including prominent spots from the Trump campaign, and accused them of exploiting Americans’ “fear of the transgender community.”

Parents have expressed genuine concerns about ideologies influencing their children through schools, entertainment, and government. The recent election results reflect a clear stance from Americans, signaling opposition to policies they believe overstep boundaries regarding cultural and social issues.

Yet, Reid and her liberal allies refuse to grasp this reality.

She also attempted a wildly misplaced comparison, claiming more children are exposed to gun violence (an estimated three million) than there are transgender Americans of all ages.

According to Reid, this makes the GOP’s focus on trans issues not only misguided but somehow akin to Nazi-era policies. While one might expect inflammatory rhetoric from Reid, invoking the horrors of the Holocaust to score political points is a new low, even for her.

This nonsense underscores why many Americans are tuning out MSNBC altogether. People are tired of being lectured by pundits who view them as backward for rejecting extreme ideologies.

The ads resonated because they addressed real parental concerns, not because they incited baseless fear.

MSNBC may need to reevaluate its programming as some viewers express frustration with divisive commentary. The network risks further alienating its viewership without adjustments to address audience concerns.
