Country music star Carrie Underwood delivered a stirring performance of “America the Beautiful” at the inauguration of President Donald Trump on Monday, overcoming a last-minute technical issue that could have derailed the event.

The performance took place in the Capitol Rotunda, where dignitaries, lawmakers, and celebrities had gathered for the ceremony marking the start of Trump’s second term.

Underwood was moments away from performing when it became clear that there was an issue with the audio soundtrack meant to accompany her.

As the crowd began to notice the delay, Underwood smiled, took a calming breath, and addressed the audience.

“If you know the words, help me out here,” she said before launching into a flawless a cappella rendition of the patriotic classic.

Her powerful voice filled the Rotunda, with many in the audience joining in to sing along.

The impromptu performance turned what could have been a tense moment into a memorable highlight of the ceremony.

The crowd, which included high-profile figures from politics, entertainment, and business, responded enthusiastically to Underwood’s performance.

Cameras captured several attendees singing along, while others gave her a standing ovation as she concluded the song.

Among those visibly moved by the performance was outgoing President Joe Biden, who was seen applauding and reportedly remarked, “Great job.”

Underwood also shook hands with President Trump and Vice President JD Vance after the performance, receiving personal congratulations for her ability to adapt under pressure.

The unexpected turn of events added a moment of unity to the day’s proceedings, with attendees from across the political spectrum coming together to join in the performance.

Underwood’s graceful handling of the situation and her unshakable composure underscored the power of music to bring people together even in challenging moments.

Underwood, a Grammy-winning artist and former “American Idol” champion, is no stranger to high-profile performances, but her ability to seamlessly adapt to the technical glitch showcased her professionalism and talent.

Her a cappella rendition of “America the Beautiful” will likely be remembered as a standout moment in inaugural history.

The inauguration marked the official start of Trump’s second term as the nation’s 47th president.

Held indoors due to inclement weather, the ceremony featured a series of performances and speeches. Underwood’s contribution stood out not only for her vocal performance but also for her quick thinking and poise.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism and set the tone for the new administration, emphasizing resilience and unity in the face of unexpected challenges.
