Speaking on “The Breakfast Club” Monday, Charlamagne slammed Democrats for pretending to hold the moral high ground, declaring that the pardon is a glaring example of the party’s hypocrisy, as reported by The Daily Caller.

The pardon follows months of Biden claiming he wouldn’t intervene in his son’s legal troubles. Hunter Biden had been convicted by a Delaware jury of illegally possessing a firearm while using drugs and lying on the purchase form.

Biden’s public statement defending the pardon alleged that Hunter was unfairly “singled out” because of their familial ties, but Charlamagne wasn’t buying it.

“Hunter was singled out because he broke the law. That’s number one,” Charlamagne said bluntly. “He was singled out because he had an illegal gun and tax evasion charges, not because he was the president’s son. And I honestly don’t care.”

The radio host didn’t stop there. He called out the broader hypocrisy of the Democratic Party, urging them to drop their sanctimonious posturing.

“I just want Democrats to stop acting like they are on this moral high ground politically when they have shown us they’re not,” Charlamagne continued.

“Whether it’s skipping the primary process when Biden stepped down or things like Biden pardoning his son, stop acting like y’all are the pure party and Republicans aren’t.”

Charlamagne’s comments point to a deeper frustration with elected officials who, in his words, “can do whatever they want as long as they have the political will and courage to do it.”
