CNN’s Jennings Takes Another ‘Scalp,’ Wrecks Guest’s ‘Signalgate’ Narrative [WATCH]

Despite the lack of clear details surrounding the so-called “Signalgate” controversy, the mainstream media continues to push it as the scandal of the century, a move that reflects the ongoing obsession with President Donald Trump.

The latest push from CNN and other outlets is an attempt to turn an incident involving a simple messaging error into a major national security breach.

The issue began when someone added Atlantic writer Jeffrey Goldberg to an encrypted chat about a military operation against Houthi terrorists in Yemen.

At this time, it remains unclear how Goldberg ended up in the chat—whether it was an accident or the result of a rogue staffer trying to create a scandal.

However, the media, led by CNN, is attempting to frame this as a significant failure that “put American lives at risk,” even though the chat didn’t share any location information or sensitive data before the operation took place.

On Friday evening, CNN’s Lulu Garcia-Navarro tried to convince viewers that the situation was more dangerous than the serious missteps that took place under the Biden-Harris administration, including the deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Garcia-Navarro claimed that had this been a Democrat-led administration, those responsible would have faced accountability.

“If this was a Democrat or a democratic administration who had foolishly, unconscionably created a group chat to have a discussion about a military operation that was top secret, I think, Scott, you would have been the first person to call for those people’s resignation,” she argued.

Garcia-Navarro further claimed that accountability should be a nonpartisan issue.

“Accountability is actually something that normally happens in a well-functioning administration,” she said.

“This isn’t, you know, cowboys and Indians and calling for scalps. This is actually what most people would think was, if someone has behaved in a way that puts American lives at risk, they should be held accountable for it.”

However, CNN’s Scott Jennings quickly shot back at Garcia-Navarro’s claim.

“You don’t have to make up hypotheticals, Lulu, about if this happened in a Democratic administration,” Jennings responded.

“Let me take you back in time. In a Democratic administration, the secretary of defense oversaw a disastrous military operation in which 13 servicemen died in Afghanistan. Then to try to make up for it, they vaporized like seven children in a drone strike. Then later, the secretary of defense went AWOL and didn’t even tell the commander-in-chief.”

Garcia-Navarro attempted to dismiss Jennings’ remarks by insisting that the two situations were “completely different.”

But, in reality, the incidents are far from equal in severity.

What happened under Secretary Lloyd Austin’s leadership during the Biden-Harris administration resulted in far greater consequences.

Not only did the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan lead to the deaths of 13 U.S. service members, but the Taliban also gained control of billions of dollars in U.S. military equipment left behind by the Biden-Harris administration.

This left Afghanistan in chaos and severely damaged U.S. credibility on the world stage.

By comparison, “Signalgate” involved an accidental inclusion in a group chat, where no sensitive data was leaked before operations occurred.

Yet, Garcia-Navarro and others in the left-wing media would have us believe that this minor error is more significant than the deaths of American soldiers and the fall of a country to the Taliban.

The bottom line is clear: the “Signalgate” controversy is little more than a distraction engineered by the left-wing media.

It serves as an attempt to undermine President Trump’s administration and deflect from the massive failures that have plagued the Biden-Harris administration.

While the media continues to focus on this non-issue, the real leadership failures, including the loss of American lives and the national security repercussions of the Afghanistan withdrawal, remain largely ignored.

This is yet another example of fake news designed to obscure the truth and shift attention away from the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous policies.
