Coast Guard Stops Overloaded Boat of Migrants, No Easy Entry Here [WATCH]

The United States Coast Guard isn’t playing games when it comes to illegal maritime crossings. On Monday, they intercepted a dangerously overcrowded boat carrying 132 Haitian migrants roughly 50 miles off the coast of Florida and promptly sent them back home.

As reported by The New York Post, the 30-foot sailboat, which was crammed far beyond its safe capacity, was stopped last week between Cuba and Cay Sal Bank before being turned around.

According to a Coast Guard statement, every migrant was given food, water, and medical care before being repatriated. Lt. Zane Carter, an enforcement officer for Coast Guard District Seven, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to keeping America’s maritime borders secure, stating:

“The Coast Guard will continue to prioritize strengthening our domestic integrity and disrupting attempts to enter the United States illegally by sea. We are steadfast in our mission to safeguard America by securing our maritime borders.”

This interception is just one of many as the Coast Guard remains on high alert for illegal crossings. Since October 1, at least 313 Haitian migrants have been stopped and returned home after attempting to enter the U.S. by sea.

These maritime voyages are often life-threatening, with migrants crammed onto unstable, makeshift vessels, risking their lives for a journey that will only end in deportation.

The Biden administration may be dragging its feet on securing the southern border, but the Coast Guard is making sure illegal maritime crossings don’t slip through the cracks.

Monday’s operation also coincided with the latest “Alien Expulsion Flight Operation,” a federal initiative transporting detained migrants to Texas and California before returning them to their home countries.

The federal government might be slow-walking real border security, but at least some agencies are still enforcing the law.

The Coast Guard’s vigilance doesn’t just apply to migrants—it’s also actively targeting drug smugglers, human traffickers, and other bad actors trying to sneak into the country undetected.

As authorities emphasized in another statement:

“Through these ongoing operations, the Coast Guard is detecting, deterring, and interdicting aliens, drug smugglers, and individuals intent on terrorism or other hostile activity before they reach the border.”

In other words, they’re doing the job that should be a top priority for every agency tasked with national security.

While leftist politicians continue their open-border agenda, the men and women of the Coast Guard are ensuring that America’s waters don’t become a free-for-all.

Their dedication to law and order is exactly what’s needed to maintain border integrity—something that has become an afterthought in Washington.
