Coors Cancels ‘Woke’ DEI Initiatives Following Industry Movement [VIDEO]
Molson Coors is the latest big-name company to backtrack on its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, following a wave of other iconic American brands rejecting “woke” policies in recent months.
This change comes on the heels of intense pressure from conservative activist and filmmaker Robby Starbuck, who has been targeting corporations that embrace DEI policies, as reported by Fox Business.
On Tuesday, Starbuck shared on X that Molson Coors had sent him a letter addressed to its employees. In the letter, the beer giant outlined several significant shifts in its DEI approach.

The letter came after Starbuck put company executives on notice last week, warning them about his potential next move.

According to the letter obtained by Fox Business, Molson Coors explained that its human resources team began re-evaluating its DEI policies back in March.
The company’s leadership expressed a desire to broaden their DEI focus to ensure that all employees feel welcome. However, the letter revealed that the company has decided to roll back certain DEI-specific initiatives, signaling a departure from policies many conservatives have criticized as divisive and unnecessary.
Among the changes, Molson Coors announced it would scrap DEI trainings, now that all employees have completed them.
Additionally, the company will no longer tie executive compensation to diversity goals, opting instead to focus solely on business performance.
The company is also eliminating its supplier diversity goals, and starting next year, corporate leadership will no longer aim for “aspirational representation goals” when it comes to diversity.
Perhaps most significantly, Molson Coors is ending its participation in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.
This annual survey, conducted by one of the largest and most progressive nonprofits in the U.S., has been used to gauge corporate policies affecting LGBTQ+ employees. Molson Coors’ decision to pull out is a clear sign of its shift away from progressive social activism.
Coors isn’t alone in making these changes. Other major corporations like Ford, John Deere, Lowe’s, and Tractor Supply have also announced adjustments to their DEI policies, following pressure campaigns led by Starbuck and other anti-woke activists.
Starbuck took to X again on Tuesday, celebrating the success of his efforts.
“Our campaigns are so effective that we’re getting multi-billion dollar organizations to change their policies without me even posting just from the fear they have of being the next company that we expose,” Starbuck said. He added, “The landscape of corporate America is quickly shifting to sanity and neutrality.”
