White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, Stephen Miller accused the Biden-Harris administration of trafficking hundreds of thousands of children into the United States and aiding in their disappearance, calling the conduct criminal and announcing that President Donald Trump is preparing executive action to directly target sanctuary jurisdictions.
Appearing in a Fox News segment this week, Miller said the administration has been involved in activity that, if carried out by a private citizen, would lead to severe prosecution under federal law.
“In fact, you would do significant jail time, particularly under the policies of this administration,” Miller said.
“By the same token, if you as an American citizen, put, say, a child into the back of a truck and drive them across state lines, you’ll be prosecuted for child trafficking. The Biden administration itself, the actual government of the United States, trafficked 500,000 children into this country and helped them to disappear. That is criminal.”

Miller’s remarks follow months of increasing concern over the federal government’s handling of unaccompanied minors at the border and reports of failures to track those released into the interior of the country.
The Department of Health and Human Services has faced scrutiny for placing children with sponsors who have later become unreachable, raising concerns about safety and oversight.
Miller also sharply criticized sanctuary cities and states for obstructing federal immigration enforcement.

He emphasized that laws already exist to prosecute those who harbor, conceal, or obstruct authorities from detaining individuals residing in the country illegally.
“Back to the point about sanctuary states and sanctuary cities — there are laws against harboring, there are laws against evading authorities, there are laws against smuggling, laws against concealing, laws against obstructing justice,” Miller said.
Miller revealed that President Trump is preparing a sweeping executive order aimed at cracking down on sanctuary jurisdictions that block cooperation with immigration authorities.
He stated that the policy, currently in development, will be broader and more forceful than any previous actions on the issue.
“President Trump, as we speak, is working on an executive order that will be issued in the very near future that will clamp down and crack down on sanctuary cities as never before,” Miller said.
Calling sanctuary policies “a cancer on our democracy,” Miller pointed to the left’s efforts to shield violent illegal aliens from federal enforcement as a direct threat to national sovereignty.
“This is a cancer on our democracy — the effort of the radical left to shield even the most violent illegal aliens from enforcement,” he said. “President Trump will be soon taking action. They’ll be more robust and more aggressive than anything done in this area before.”

The forthcoming order is expected to include enhanced penalties for jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and potentially restrict certain types of federal funding for localities that continue to defy federal immigration law.
No official timeline has been released for the executive order, but Trump advisers say the administration considers the crackdown on sanctuary cities a top priority in his current term.
