D.O.D. Has No Idea How Much It Sent to China For Gain of Function Research
How much money has the Department of Defense shipped off to China and other countries to create pandemic-potential viruses?
Who knows? The Department of Defense sure doesn’t. Why would something like this even matter?
The Biden DOD has lost track of how much money it has given to Chinese laboratories for ‘enhancing’ pathogens. Why is the answer to this question not “zero dollars”? https://t.co/GfTYd3epEo

No matter how stupid, venal, and dangerous to the world you think the elite who run our world are, you are grossly underestimating.
This troubling news comes straight from the Office of the Inspector General for the Department of Defense. The report was mandated by Congress because, of course, the Biden Administration was apparently indifferent to the question even after all the controversy stemming from suspicions that the COVID-19 virus was engineered by the Wuhan Institute of Virology and leaked from the lab.
What we do know is that nearly $50 million went to the EcoHealth Alliance, which is famous for its wonky recordkeeping and its leader’s propensity to lie every time he opens his mouth.
Peter Dazek and the EcoHealth Alliance have been debarred from getting any more money from the U.S. government–a move that took place only after Dazsek’s friend Anthony Fauci left the government. Daszek and Fauci are friends, although Fauci has been cagey about the relationship since Dazsek got into trouble.
Dazsek is a snake, Fauci a sociopath, and DoD bureaucrats are dupes who probably just assumed that if the bigwigs at NIAID thought this was a good idea, it must be a good idea.
Yeah, well, it’s hard to see how national security was increased by unleashing highly contagious deadly viruses into the population. But what do I know? I’m not a genius expert like these guys.
Of course, in the real world, the answer to “How much United States taxpayer money is flowing into China to make deadly viruses?” should be “Absolutely none,” but that would mean that common sense reigns in the halls of power. We can’t have that, can we?
As useful as it will be to have a skeptic like Donald Trump regain power, what we really need is a Javier Milei, whose sole job would be to clean up the mess and fire most of the idiots who run the administrative state. Clean out the Augean Stables, as it were.
Alas, I don’t see it happening. Over the last century, we have built a parallel and totally unaccountable government–the executive agencies–and it has morphed into the Deep State–powerful enough to take on and defeat an elected president. Even if Trump or another president put all his effort into cleaning things up, it would take a supermajority in the Senate and a large majority in the House to accomplish that goal.
Hard to see that happening in a 50-50 country. In Argentina it took a near collapse to get Milei in power.
Maybe when the dollar loses its status as the world reserve currency and we fall into a depression? Even then I would assume a bigger government, not a smaller one.
But perhaps I am too cynical. Or, perhaps not.
