A wave of vandalism and destruction has swept across the country, targeting Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and vehicles, with left-wing radicals lashing out at Elon Musk’s role in President Donald Trump’s administration.
The attacks, which include bombings, arson, and vandalism, have been met with cheers and laughter from Comedy Central’s The Daily Show host Jordan Klepper and his audience.
On a recent episode of The Daily Show, Klepper played video clips of the destruction while his audience laughed and applauded.
Elon Musk Called This Financial News ‘Terrifying’
Addressing Musk, he suggested that the attacks weren’t about Tesla vehicles but rather about his leadership in Trump’s government, where Musk has been leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to root out waste and fraud.
“I don’t think people are mad at you because of the Teslas, Elon,” Klepper said.
“If I were to hazard a guess about why they’d be mad, it might be because in the last several weeks you fired tens of thousands of federal workers, you made cuts to veterans care, lifesaving foreign aid, and food banks, you canceled important medical research… Yeah, people might get a little upset if you stop their medical trial halfway through them.”
Klepper then attempted to downplay the attacks by joking about the graffiti and destruction at Tesla dealerships.

Some of the vandalized sites had been spray-painted with swastikas and the words “Nazi scum.”
“Maybe people are mad at you because you don’t seem to know what the [expletive] you’re doing!” Klepper said.

The attacks on Tesla appear to be coordinated.
A website titled “DOGEQUEST” recently went live, mapping out Tesla owners and their personal details.
The site also features a Molotov cocktail cursor icon, signaling that Tesla owners could be targeted in the same way as the dealerships.
The destruction of Tesla properties has escalated, with reports of firebombings, smashed charging stations, and arson at multiple dealerships nationwide.
The attacks have raised concerns about politically motivated violence directed at Musk and his role in government oversight.
Attorney General Pam Bondi responded to the violence this week, calling the attacks on Tesla properties “domestic terrorism” and warning that those responsible will face severe consequences.
“The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism. The Department of Justice has already charged several perpetrators with that in mind, including in cases that involve charges with five-year mandatory minimum sentences,” Bondi stated.
She also vowed that the investigations would go beyond those committing the attacks, extending to individuals and organizations “coordinating and funding these crimes.”
“We will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes,” Bondi continued.

As federal authorities work to track down those responsible, the targeting of Tesla dealerships and owners raises serious concerns about the rise of politically motivated violence and the escalation of attacks on private businesses linked to Trump administration officials.
