Progressive activists at the Voters of Tomorrow “Fighting for Our Future” summit in Washington, D.C., directed renewed criticism toward President Donald Trump, calling on him to release all records related to Jeffrey Epstein, as reported by Fox News.

The event, which took place this week, featured speakers including former Democratic National Committee (DNC) vice chair David Hogg, who accused Trump of being involved in what he called a “criminal cover-up.”

“Trump absolutely should [release the files], but he won’t because he’s on the god damn list,” Hogg told Fox News Digital, despite a recently released memo from the Department of Justice stating there is no such list.

The memo, released by the DOJ and the FBI earlier this month, concluded that Epstein died by suicide in his jail cell in 2019.

It also confirmed that there is no “client list” and clarified that the sealed “Epstein files” primarily consist of thousands of pieces of illegal child sex abuse material and pornography, which remain sealed by court order.

Despite this, Democrats have shifted to the forefront of the push for Epstein-related transparency, with Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) co-sponsoring the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act (EFTA).

The proposed legislation would compel the House of Representatives to vote on the full release of all government records related to Epstein, with redactions made to protect victims’ identities and remove any explicit content.

At the summit, Hogg was joined by DNC Vice Chair Malcolm Kenyatta, who told Fox News Digital, “This is a guy that ran for president talking about, caring about, law and order, and yet he is hiding the Epstein files in one of the greatest criminal cover-ups in American history.”

The White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary, Harrison Fields, responded swiftly, dismissing Hogg’s statement.

“No one, including his own party, cares what that pipsqueak has to say, and most of the country would rather hear nails on a chalkboard than the Gen Z nonsense he pushes for attention.”

Khanna previously attached a procedural vote on the EFTA to an unrelated cryptocurrency bill earlier this month. According to Khanna, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) cut the session short for August recess, avoiding a floor vote.

Johnson later stated that “all credible evidence should come out” but accused Democrats of politicizing the matter.

“The point was not to embarrass the president,” Khanna said. “But then Speaker Johnson shuts down the entire Congress. You’ve got to wonder, why are they doing that?”

Khanna said he wants transparency on “what business leaders, what political leaders, foreign leaders” may have had ties to Epstein. “Get the facts out there,” he said.

The White House has not responded to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
