Democratic National Committee Vice Chair David Hogg is drawing attention after suggesting a controversial approach to recapturing the support of young male voters.

Speaking on HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher” during a recent episode, Hogg proposed that the Democratic Party should focus on appealing to younger men by promoting a culture centered on “fun” and the pursuit of sexual experiences.

“What I think happened last election is younger men — they would rather vote for somebody who they don’t completely agree with, they don’t feel judged by, than somebody who they do agree with, that they feel like they have to walk on eggshells around constantly,” Hogg said on the program.
