President Donald Trump laid into reporters on Wednesday after they tried to pivot his meeting in the Oval Office away from the topic of genocide of white South Africans.

Meeting with the President of the Republic of South Africa, Trump ordered the lights to be turned down in the Oval Office so he could show videos of “genocide in South Africa.” After the videos concluded, NBC reporter Peter Alexander broke the silence by asking Trump about the Air Force One jet Qatar is giving to the United States. “You ought to get out of here. What does this have to do with a Qatari jet? They are giving the United States Air Force a jet and it’s a great thing. We are talking about a lot of other things. NBC trying to get off the subject of what you just saw. You are a terrible reporter. Number one, you don’t have what it takes to be a reporter,” Trump started. “You are not smart enough.”

“But for you to go into a subject about a jet that was given to the United States Air Force — which is a very nice thing, they also gave $5.1 trillion worth of investment, in addition to the jet — you ought to go back to your studio at NBC because Brian Roberts and the people that run that place ought to be investigated. They are so terrible, the way they run that network, and you are a disgrace. No more questions from you,” Trump continued.

Another reporter was then called on and asked Trump what he would like South Africa to do about the situation he displayed on the screen.

“These articles over the last few days — death of people, death, death, horrible death,” Trump said, holding up a series of physical articles about murders and rapes of white South Africans that were provided to him by staff.

“I don’t know. White South Africans are fleeing because of the violence … when you say ‘What would I like to do?’ I don’t know what to do,” Trump added.

Trump held up another article and read the contents, which stated that a white South African couple said they were attacked violently. He showed up another article of burial sites in South Africa.

“These are all white farmers being buried and he asks about a jet,” Trump said, pointing again at Alexander. “You oughta be ashamed. You are such a bad reporter.”
