Democrats have used the f-word — f as in fascist — one too many times when attacking Republicans and the MAGA agenda, so much so that they have accidentally incinerated their trust with voters, while earning themselves an abysmal approval rating of 29%.
After Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer backed the GOP’s stopgap funding bill, a brouhaha erupted among left-wing congressional lawmakers and even more moderate members of his caucus, including Sens. Mark Kelly of Arizona and Elissa Slotkin of Michigan. Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that “there is a deep sense of outrage and betrayal” within the party. Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi chimed in on the drama, saying that Democrats “must not buy into this false choice” and “fight back for a better way.” Despite the last-minute push from the likes of AOC, Pelosi, and others, the Senate approved the bill Friday, with 10 Democrats joining Republicans to fund the government through September.
