Dems’ Anti-Trump, Musk Protests ‘Performative, Closest Thing to a National Cult’ [WATCH]

In an era where political protests are as common as bad hair days for liberals, Mark Fisher, executive director of Black Lives Matter Inc., has taken a starkly conservative stance against what he describes as “performative, cult-like” demonstrations orchestrated by the left.

As reported by The New York Post, Fisher, who notably voted for Donald Trump in the 2024 election, did not mince words when he appeared on “FOX & Friends” to discuss the recent anti-DOGE protests on President’s Day.

Fisher lambasted these protests as nothing more than a chapter from “George Soros’ playbook,” pointing out that in his home state of Rhode Island, the turnout was laughably sparse.

He suggested that the timing of these demonstrations was suspiciously convenient, perhaps even a distraction from other liberal agendas like protests for illegal immigration.

“I believe Americans are tired of protests now, and Democrats offered nothing but protests. They just need to… just lick their wounds and give Donald Trump and his administration the chance to do what the people voted him in to do.”

The so-called 5051 Movement, which spearheaded these nationwide protests, aimed its ire at both Elon Musk and President Trump, decrying their efforts to reduce government waste through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

In cities from Austin to Washington, D.C., you could hear chants like “Deport Musk!” and “Trump and Musk have got to go!”

But Fisher sees these outbursts as nothing more than the sour grapes of a defeated left. He described the Democratic response to their sweeping losses across all branches of government as akin to joining a “national cult.”

Fisher didn’t stop at critiquing the protests; he also shared insights into his shift from the Democratic Party to supporting Trump, highlighting what he perceives as the Democrats’ exploitative nature.

“I think that the Democrats are experts at taking advantage of the most vulnerable and weak-minded people in society. I was there, and I did it… at one time. And then when they’re done with you… You become disposable, and they’re doing the same thing. They did it with Black people, and they did it with the immigrants, illegal immigrants. They do it with LGBTQ.”

The 5051 Movement, in defense, described itself not as an organization but as a “vision” of the American dream, though Fisher would likely argue it’s more of a mirage in the desert of liberal policy failures.

In conclusion, Fisher urged Democrats to “lick their wounds” and allow Trump’s administration to govern as the American people have mandated. It’s clear from Fisher’s perspective that the country is tired of the constant protests which, in his view, offer nothing but noise.
