Democrats, as we know, are facing an identity crisis in the second Trump era, and although they have desperate attempts to mitigate it, the left is now slowly but surely entering an ‘eat their own’ moment that threatens to leave them more fractured and floundering than ever.
Things aren’t looking too rosy for the Democratic Party. According to a new CNN poll conducted earlier in March, a poll that dates back to 1992, the party’s favorability plummeted to a historic low. A mere 29% of respondents approved of the party, a whopping 20-point slide since the start of the Biden-Harris administration in January of 2021. Among Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents, only 63% of those surveyed approved of their own party, marking a staggering 18-point decline since the initial days of the previous administration. The poll also found that 13% of voters approved of Democratic Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin, who delivered the Democrats’ rebuttal to Trump’s joint address to Congress, while over 50% said they had never heard of her. (Subscribe to MR.
