The White House accused Democrats on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on Friday of promoting what it described as a “cherry-picked” and “false narrative” after the release of a new batch of photographs from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein, including images that feature prominent public figures such as Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Woody Allen.

The release marked the second disclosure by House Oversight Democrats in roughly a week.

Earlier, the same group said it had “received never-before-seen photos and videos of Jeffrey Epstein’s private island that are a harrowing look behind Epstein’s closed doors.”

On Friday, the committee said the latest material consisted of tens of thousands of images obtained from Epstein’s estate.

“Oversight Dems received 95,000 new photos from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate.

These disturbing images raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world. Time to end this White House cover-up. Release the files!” the Oversight Democrats wrote Friday on X.

White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson responded publicly, accusing Democrats of selectively releasing images to advance a political narrative.

Jackson said Democrats were “selectively releasing cherry-picked photos with random redactions to try and create a false narrative.”

Jackson also referenced Democratic lawmakers by name in her response.

“Here’s the reality: Democrats like Stacey Plaskett and Hakeem Jeffries were soliciting money and meetings from Epstein AFTER he was a convicted sex offender,” she said.

“The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked, and the Trump administration has done more for Epstein’s victims than Democrats ever have by repeatedly calling for transparency, releasing thousands of pages of documents and calling for further investigations into Epstein’s Democrat friends. It’s time for the media to stop regurgitating Democrat talking points and start asking Democrats why they wanted to hang around Epstein after he was convicted.”

I’m sure MANY of you have seen this photo in your feed countless times today.

But most of you don’t know the backstory— which is EXACTLY what the Democrats intended.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., has previously responded to allegations related to Epstein.

Jeffries has denied claims that he had dinner with Epstein or solicited donations from the financier. Separately, a House Republican effort to censure Rep. Stacey Plaskett failed in mid-November.

A White House official also told Fox News on Friday that House Democrats chose only certain photos to make public.

According to the official, the images included redactions that were applied selectively and were intended for political purposes.

The official said none of the released documents have ever shown any wrongdoing by President Trump.

Among the materials released Friday were additional images that included photographs of sex toys.

The White House did not dispute the authenticity of the photos but criticized the context and manner in which they were made public.

The dispute unfolded as developments continued in federal court related to Epstein’s criminal cases.

On Wednesday, a federal judge cleared the Justice Department to release secret grand jury transcripts from Epstein’s 2019 sex trafficking case.

U.S. District Judge Richard Berman reversed an earlier ruling that had kept the transcripts sealed.

In his decision, Berman cited recent action by Congress related to the Epstein files.

He had previously cautioned that the approximately 70 pages of grand jury material contained little new information.

That ruling followed another court decision one day earlier.

Judge Paul Engelmayer granted the Justice Department’s motion to unseal separate grand jury transcripts and exhibits tied to the criminal case of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate.

The court actions came as lawmakers and the administration continued to trade accusations over transparency and responsibility for handling Epstein-related records.

Democrats have pressed for broader public release of materials tied to Epstein, while the White House has argued that documents already released have not implicated President Trump and that further disclosures should not be selectively framed for political effect.

The back-and-forth between the White House and House Oversight Democrats reflects continuing disagreements over how Epstein-related records are disclosed and characterized, as well as broader disputes surrounding congressional investigations and executive branch responses tied to the late financier’s criminal history.
