Democratic Party figures and strategists are distancing themselves from Hunter Biden after the president’s son launched a series of expletive-filled tirades during podcast interviews released Monday, as reported by The New York Post.
The 55-year-old son of former President Joe Biden used the platform to lash out at senior party leaders, Hollywood donors, and prominent Democratic figures who he claims pressured his father to exit the 2024 presidential race.
The interviews, totaling more than four hours, were conducted with former Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison and YouTube host Andrew Callaghan. They were released on the anniversary of Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 race.

Hunter criticized several high-profile Democrats and claimed a coordinated effort was made to push his father aside after a poor debate performance in June 2024.
“They’d already made a decision,” Hunter told Callaghan. “And when I say ‘they,’ I mean ‘the speaker [Nancy Pelosi].’”

He went on to recall, “I heard Alexandra Pelosi say … ‘put your big girl pants on’ to my mom [Jill Biden] or something, and I kind of feel like saying, ‘Who the f**k do you think you are?’
Hunter also claimed his father was “tired” and had been given Ambien to sleep before taking the debate stage, describing him as looking “like a deer in the headlights.”

The interviews drew swift criticism from Democrats. Mark Penn, a former adviser to President Bill Clinton, wrote on X, “My stomach churns. At seeing a foul-mouthed Hunter Biden attack the world.” Penn added that Hunter’s presence in public discourse “mainly helps Republicans.”

He is out of jail only because DaD pardoned him after he carried out a $20 million shakedown of shady foreign interests with the consent and participation of Joe Biden. And he paid no taxes ion it. This…

An unnamed Democratic source told The New York Post, “Hunter Biden continues to personify loss… It’s time to say farewell to his headlines, while genuinely wishing him well.”
Hunter also went after Democratic figures James Carville and David Axelrod, as well as the team behind the “Pod Save America” podcast.
“You’re not the f**king victim here,” replied Tommy Vietor, one of the podcast’s hosts. Vietor added, “You were on the board of Burisma because of who your dad is and that is what people hate about Washington.”

Hunter also discussed his past drug addiction, saying he once learned how to cook crack cocaine. He denied that cocaine found at the White House in July 2023 belonged to him.
He also suggested, hypothetically, that if he held political power, he might consider invading El Salvador to undo Trump-era deportations.
Despite claiming he was never accused of a crime based on information from his infamous laptop, special counsel David Weiss used data from the device to convict Hunter of three felony gun charges in June 2024.
Hunter was granted a full pardon by his father in December 2024 for tax and gun offenses, along with any potential federal crimes committed between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024.
