Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant was carted off the field Sunday following a hard hit late in the team’s 34-20 home loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars at Empower Field.

The incident occurred in the final seconds of the game as Bryant attempted to make a catch near the end zone.

Jaguars cornerback Montaric Brown closed in at full speed and collided with Bryant in an effort to break up the pass.

The impact was forceful, and the television broadcast captured the sound of the collision as Bryant went down on the turf.

Bryant remained on the field after the play and showed limited movement as Broncos medical staff ran out to attend to him.

Trainers spent several minutes evaluating Bryant on the field while players from both teams looked on.

He was eventually placed onto a stretcher and carted off, drawing visible concern from teammates, coaches, and fans in attendance.

It was later reported that Bryant was transported to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton addressed the situation after the game, providing a brief update on Bryant’s condition.

Payton said Bryant “had movement” in his extremities, and it was “encouraging” to see, according to 9News reporter Mike Klis.

The hit and subsequent medical response cast a shadow over the closing moments of the game, particularly given the seriousness typically associated with a player being taken off the field on a stretcher.

Bryant’s hospital visit was described as precautionary, with the goal of ensuring no further injury.

The Broncos entered the matchup with one of the best records in the league and suffered their first loss in 12 games.

Despite the defeat, Denver moved to 12-3 on the season, maintaining the top record in the AFC at the time of the game.

The loss snapped a long winning streak but did not affect the team’s postseason status.

Jacksonville’s victory extended the Jaguars’ winning streak to six games.

The Jaguars improved to 11-4 and remained one game ahead of the Houston Texans in the AFC South standings.

With the win, Jacksonville continued to strengthen its position as a likely playoff team regardless of how the division race ultimately concludes.

Denver has already secured a postseason berth and remains in contention for the top seed in the conference.

At the conclusion of Sunday’s games, only the New England Patriots had the opportunity to match the Broncos’ 12-win total, contingent on a victory over the Baltimore Ravens on “Sunday Night Football.”

Before exiting the game, Bryant recorded five receptions for 42 yards.

The performance added to a productive season for the wide receiver, who has been part of a deep and competitive Broncos receiving group.

Through 15 games, Bryant has totaled 27 catches for 347 yards and one touchdown.

Bryant’s role has included both possession routes and downfield targets, contributing to an offense that has helped Denver compile the best record in the AFC to date.

His availability going forward will be monitored as the team awaits further medical updates following his hospital evaluation.

The Broncos are scheduled to continue their regular-season schedule next week as they prepare for the postseason.

The team has not announced any additional details regarding Bryant’s status beyond the information provided immediately following the game.
