‘Did I At Least Look Cool?’: Video Shows Trump Adviser Faint, Collapse Over Lectern At Republican Event

Trump campaign advisor Alex Bruesewitz fainted and collapsed over the lectern on stage while speaking at a New York Young Republican Club (NYYRC) gala Sunday night, video shows.

As he was introducing incoming White House senior aide Dan Scavino, Bruesewitz suddenly struggled to deliver his remarks before slurring his speech and toppling down.

“Oh no … I’m forgetting my words … But… sham impeachment,” Bruesewitz slurred before falling.

Shocked attendees appeared to reach up to try to catch Bruesewitz as he fell forward. One man immediately ran up on the stage, footage from the incident shows.

Raheem Kassam, the master of ceremonies at the 112th NYYRC gala, told the audience that Bruesewitz was recovering backstage shortly after he fainted. The former aide to British politician Nigel Farage confirmed that Bruesewitz regained consciousness and encouraged the crowd to cheer so he could hear them.

“I talked to our friend Alex Bruesewitz and you know what he said to me? He goes, ‘Did I at least look cool?’ I said, ‘Alex, you used gravity like I’ve seen nobody use gravity before in their lives,’” Kassam said. “But he’s recuperating back there, so give him a big cheer so he’ll hear you.”

President-elect Donald Trump called into the event to wish Bruesewitz well. Scavino held the phone on stage as Trump addressed the audience, which broke out into applause during the president-elect’s comments. (RELATED: Nancy Pelosi Reveals Major Surgery After Suffering Fall)

“I know that Alex is going to be fine because he’s a tough son of a gun,” Trump said over the phone. “There’s no doubt about that. So I want to say hello to Alex, because he’s a very special guy.”

Trump praised Bruesewitz’s efforts to oust anti-Trump Republicans as CEO of X Strategies LLC, which promotes an America First agenda.

“Bruesewitz has been the driving force behind the efforts to defeat Republicans who fight against Trump and the MAGA movement and works to replace them with Republicans who fight for values we hold dear,” the X Strategies LLC website states.
