Rachel Zegler, known for her roles in West Side Story and Disney’s upcoming Snow White reboot, issued a public apology after an explosive social media rant targeting President-elect Donald Trump and his supporters.

Her tirade, sparked by Trump’s decisive victory over Kamala Harris, drew sharp criticism and raised questions about her impact on Disney’s flagship project, as reported by Fox News.

In a post on Instagram, Zegler expressed regret for her comments, stating, “I would like to sincerely apologize for the election post I shared on my Instagram last week. I let my emotions get the best of me. Hatred and anger have caused us to move further and further away from peace and understanding, and I am sorry I contributed to the negative discourse.”

Rachel Zegler issues groveling apology after spewing verbal diarrhea:

“May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace.”

Acknowledging the tense post-election atmosphere, Zegler added that everyone is entitled to their opinion and pledged to contribute “positively toward a better tomorrow.”

Her apology came after a string of inflammatory posts on Instagram Stories, where she unleashed her frustration over Trump’s re-election. Zegler labeled Trump supporters as part of a “deep sickness” in the country, writing, “May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace.”

She also expressed alarm at the country’s trajectory, stating, “Another four years of hatred, leaning us towards a world I do not want to live in… a world that will force my daughter to have a baby she doesn’t want. Leaning us towards a world that is fearful.”

I just want to point out that @Disney continues to employ Rachel Zegler who posted this UNHINGED rant about Trump supporters (the majority of voters in the country) but fired sweet @ginacarano for asking people to love their neighbors.

Zegler’s outburst also targeted Elon Musk’s X platform, urging her followers to boycott it, while punctuating her message with “F— Donald Trump.”

The fallout was immediate. Critics questioned whether Zegler’s comments might damage Disney’s Snow White, set for release in 2025. Her remarks fueled further scrutiny of Disney’s casting choices and Zegler’s political activism, with some suggesting her outspokenness could alienate potential viewers.

This isn’t the first time Zegler has made waves for her outspoken views. During the campaign, she urged voters to back Harris, warning they might lose the right to vote if they didn’t.

Earlier this year, she also posted “Free Palestine” on social media, drawing accusations of targeting her co-star, Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress.

Despite her controversial posts, Zegler maintains a prominent position in Hollywood, currently starring as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet on Broadway. Her apology may soothe some tensions, but the long-term impact on her career and Disney’s projects remains uncertain.
