A ferry boat transporting guests between Disney’s Transportation & Ticket Center and the Magic Kingdom collided with a dock Wednesday night amid heavy weather conditions, according to local fire officials and eyewitnesses.
Orange County Fire Rescue confirmed to FOX 35 that its crews responded to a boat crash involving a Disney ferry at the Transportation & Ticket Center during a period of showers and thunderstorms that passed through Central Florida.
Photos from the scene showed multiple individuals receiving medical attention, with several passengers seen being placed on stretchers and loaded into emergency vehicles.

The full extent of the injuries has not been disclosed.
Witnesses described the incident as abrupt and disorienting. Tami Hackett, who was aboard the ferry with her family at the time, recounted the moment of impact in an interview with FOX 35.
“Suddenly we crashed into something and we all went flying forward, falling,” Hackett said.
“The stroller landed on its back, causing the girls to hit their heads. A lot of people screaming and really hurt bad. We got the girls out, and they docked. And honestly that is when it all went downhill. Not only was there no announcement on what to do when injured, they just had us get off the boat.”

Another passenger, Heidi Goldsworthy, also described the aftermath as disorganized and chaotic.
“It was so sudden and it was chaotic, completely chaotic afterwards,” Goldsworthy said.
“Passengers were helping passengers get up, checking on people, making sure that everybody was okay.”
The ferry boats, which feature two levels and transport guests across the Seven Seas Lagoon, are part of Disney World’s standard transportation system between the Magic Kingdom and the Transportation & Ticket Center.
Many guests either sit on benches provided or stand during the ride.
This is not the first reported incident involving ferry boats at Walt Disney World.
Justin Tripp previously filed a lawsuit against Disney following a similar ferry boat crash into a dock.
Tripp alleged that the impact of that collision caused him to be thrown into a trash can, resulting in injuries to his head, neck, and other parts of his body.
In his complaint, Tripp stated, “Disney knew, or in the exercise of reasonable care should have known, of the actions and inactions that caused the allision or crash of the ferry into the dock and failed to correct such conditions.”
As of Thursday, Disney has not issued an official public statement regarding the most recent incident.
No details have been released concerning the number of people injured or the severity of those injuries.
Emergency crews were present at the scene for an extended period following the crash, and several individuals were observed receiving assistance before being transported for further medical evaluation.
The investigation into the cause of Wednesday night’s ferry collision remains ongoing.
