The Department of Justice has begun releasing an extensive volume of material related to the Jeffrey Epstein case, turning over millions of pages of records that include thousands of videos and hundreds of thousands of images, according to a statement from Todd Blanche.
The disclosure represents one of the largest document productions connected to the Epstein investigation to date and follows ongoing demands for transparency surrounding the case and the handling of evidence by federal authorities.
“Today, we are producing more than 3 million pages, including more than 2000 videos and 180,000 images. In total, that means that the department produced approximately three and a half million pages in compliance with the act,” Blanche said.

Blanche emphasized that the scope of the release reflects compliance obligations rather than a determination about the origin or relevance of every file included.
He noted that the sheer volume of material stems from the contents of devices and records seized during the investigation.
The DOJ official clarified that the videos and images being produced should not be interpreted as material created exclusively by Epstein or individuals directly associated with him.
“Just a quick note about the videos and images, the 2000 videos and 180,000 images are not all videos and images taken by Mr. Epstein or someone around him,” Blanche said.

According to Blanche, a significant portion of the visual material consists of commercial pornography and other content that was found on Epstein’s devices but was not necessarily produced by him or his associates.
“They include large quantities of commercial pornography and images that were seized from Epstein’s devices but which he did not take or that someone around him did not take,” he said.
However, Blanche also acknowledged that some of the material does appear to have a direct connection to Epstein or individuals in his circle.
“Some of the videos, though, and some of the images do appear to be taken by Mr. Epstein or by others around him,” Blanche said.

The release comes as scrutiny continues over how federal agencies handled evidence connected to Epstein, who was arrested in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges and later died in custody.
Lawmakers, journalists, and the public have repeatedly pressed the DOJ for fuller disclosure of records tied to the investigation, particularly amid lingering questions about Epstein’s network, activities, and potential involvement of powerful figures.
