Former CNN host Don Lemon and comedian Kathy Griffin raised eyebrows Tuesday during an episode of “The Don Lemon Show,” where both suggested that the 2024 presidential election — won by President Donald Trump — may not have been legitimate, as reported by Fox News.
Toward the end of the broadcast, Griffin introduced what she called her “tin foil hat moment,” stating that she did not believe Trump had won in a “free and fair election.”
Griffin said, “I believe there was tampering. I don’t know. I don’t know if it was the Elon [Musk] connection. I don’t know if it was just a few good old boys in the South who didn’t do, you know, I mean what they accuse us of.”

While Griffin did not present any evidence, she claimed her intuition told her something had gone wrong during the election. Lemon responded, “You’re not far off. I mean I won’t say that I disagree with you… But I’m an evidence person. I’d like to see the evidence.”
Lemon continued, “I think something was off, and especially when someone said, ‘Oh, we’ve got this.’ And, you know, how do you know that? How do we know we’ve got this? How do you know, or ‘I don’t need your vote’ or anything like that. It’s a little bit odd.”
Griffin then echoed, “Right. ‘This will be the last election. We won’t have any elections after this.’”
Lemon added, “’Vote for me, and you won’t have to vote again anymore.’ And also, you know, as you said, every accusation is a confession.”

Griffin’s comments follow her long history of public controversy surrounding President Trump. In 2017, she was widely condemned after posing for a photo holding a fake severed head resembling Trump. The incident led to a Secret Service investigation.
This is not the first time a celebrity has raised doubts about the 2024 election. In March, actress Rosie O’Donnell made similar claims, citing Trump’s relationship with Elon Musk.
“I question why the first time in American history a president has won every swing state and is also best friends and his largest donor was a man who owns and runs the Internet,” O’Donnell said.
Neither Lemon nor Griffin cited any verifiable sources to support their claims. The statements come despite official results and certifications confirming Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 election.
