President-elect Donald Trump announced on Saturday that Devin Nunes, CEO of TRUTH Social and former California congressman, will serve as Chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board.
The announcement was made through a series of posts on TRUTH Social, Trump’s social media platform.
“I am pleased to announce that I will appoint TRUTH Social CEO Devin Nunes as Chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, which consists of distinguished citizens from outside of the Federal Government,” Trump stated in his post. “While continuing his leadership of Trump Media & Technology Group, Devin will draw on his experience as former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and his key role in exposing the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, to provide me with independent assessments of the effectiveness and propriety of the U.S. Intelligence Community’s activities. Congratulations Devin!”

He stepped down from his congressional role on January 1, 2022, to take the helm of Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of TRUTH Social.
Nunes will continue to lead TRUTH Social while serving as Chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board.
The board, established in 1956, provides independent analysis and assessments to the president on the effectiveness of the U.S. intelligence community and the ability of intelligence agencies to meet national security needs.
In addition to naming Nunes, Trump announced other key appointments, including Bill White as U.S. ambassador to Belgium and Troy Edgar as Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
White, a longtime Trump supporter and donor, is currently CEO of Constellations Group and was previously the president of the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum.

He resigned from the museum amid allegations of improper financial dealings, which he denies.
White, a member of the Log Cabin Republicans, has organized numerous pro-Trump LGBTQ events and fundraisers during the election cycle.
Edgar, an executive at IBM, has extensive experience in government and homeland security.

He previously served as Trump’s chief financial officer at DHS and as the associate deputy undersecretary of management for homeland security.
The President’s Intelligence Advisory Board plays a critical role in providing independent oversight and recommendations on the operations of the U.S. intelligence community.
Nunes’ appointment is expected to draw on his tenure in Congress and his work on high-profile investigations, including those into the origins of the Russia probe.
The announcements reflect Trump’s focus on appointing trusted allies and individuals with experience in leadership and national security to key positions as he prepares for his administration.
These appointments mark the first wave of personnel decisions expected in the weeks leading up to Trump’s inauguration.
