President Donald Trump on Wednesday called for billionaire financier George Soros and his son, Alex Soros, to be charged under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), citing their financial support of violent protests and left-wing political movements across the United States, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
In a statement, Trump accused Soros and his network of fueling unrest and destabilization efforts through large-scale funding of radical movements.
“George Soros, and his wonderful Radical Left son, should be charged with RICO because of their support of Violent Protests, and much more, all throughout the United States of America,” Trump said.

The president added:
“We’re not going to allow these lunatics to rip apart America any more, never giving it so much as a chance to ‘BREATHE,’ and be FREE. Soros, and his group of psychopaths, have caused great damage to our Country! That includes his Crazy, West Coast friends. Be careful, we’re watching you!”

Soros’ Open Society Foundations has long been associated with progressive and left-leaning causes around the globe. The foundation has poured billions into advocacy groups, non-governmental organizations, and activist networks.
Critics have accused the Soros network of backing movements that undermine conservative governments and destabilize U.S. institutions.

Trump specifically pointed to Soros’ history of financing left-wing activism, including Black Lives Matter, anti-Israel protests, and other demonstrations that have turned violent in recent years.
Investigations are also underway into the Texas Majority PAC (TMP), a Soros-funded group accused of improperly financing Texas Democrats who left the state earlier this year to block redistricting legislation.
The president’s statement followed growing calls within the Republican Party for congressional scrutiny of Soros’ influence in U.S. politics.
Earlier this year, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) demanded Congress subpoena Soros amid an investigation into the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Lawmakers are examining whether the agency fast-tracked Soros’ purchase of more than 220 radio stations, including the Audacy radio network, which reaches an estimated 165 million Americans, as a means of swaying elections and shaping public opinion.
Trump’s remarks highlight continued GOP focus on Soros and his son, Alex, who now serves as chair of the Open Society Foundations and has emerged as a leading Democratic Party donor.
Republicans argue that the Soros family’s network of dark-money organizations and political action committees represents a coordinated effort to advance radical leftist policies and undermine election integrity.
For now, no federal action has been announced, but Trump’s call to apply RICO statutes indicates an effort to move investigations of Soros from the political sphere into potential criminal accountability.
