In a snowy showdown at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Los Angeles Rams, 28-22, to advance to the NFC Championship Game.
Running back Saquon Barkley delivered a standout performance, rushing for 205 yards and two touchdowns.
Barkley’s first touchdown of the day was a 62 yard run in the first quarter.

With less than five minutes remaining in the game, Barkley lined up alongside quarterback Jalen Hurts in the shotgun formation.
Battling heavy snow, Hurts looked over to Barkley, who confidently said, “I got this.”

“The elements were great, but the atmosphere was even better,” Barkley told NBC after the game.
“Our fans are amazing. It was a close one, but that’s playoff football, and at the end of the day, we got the job done.”
Despite Barkley’s heroics, the Rams fought hard to stay in the game.
After Barkley’s fourth-quarter touchdown, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford led a 10-play, 70-yard drive, finding tight end Coby Parkinson for a touchdown to bring the score within one possession.

The Rams’ defense then forced a stop, giving Stafford another chance to lead a game-winning drive.
Stafford connected with wide receiver Puka Nacua on a spectacular catch to move the Rams deep into Eagles territory.
However, Philadelphia’s defense held firm, forcing an incompletion on fourth down to seal the victory.
Philadelphia’s defense played a pivotal role in the win.
In addition to the game-ending stop, the Eagles forced two fumbles during the game, both of which led to field goals.
The six points generated from those turnovers proved to be the difference in the tightly contested matchup.
The Eagles also sacked Stafford five times, including a crucial takedown during the Rams’ final drive that added pressure to convert on fourth down.
Hurts, despite being limited after taking a hit in the second quarter, finished the game completing 15 of 20 passes for 128 yards.
He also rushed for 70 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown in the first quarter.

Stafford led the Rams with 324 passing yards and two touchdowns on 26-of-44 passing but faced relentless pressure from the Eagles’ defense throughout the game.
With the victory, the Eagles advance to the NFC Championship Game, where they will face the Washington Commanders next Sunday.
The matchup will determine which team represents the NFC in the Super Bowl.
For the Rams, the loss ends their playoff run despite a valiant effort.
Stafford and the offense showed resilience, but the team ultimately fell short against the Eagles’ strong defensive and offensive performances.
As the Eagles prepare for their next challenge, Barkley’s record-breaking performance and the team’s ability to thrive under pressure have fans hopeful for another deep postseason run.
