Elizabeth Warren Says She Has a ‘Secret, Super-Duper Strategy’ Combat Trump [WATCH]

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) appeared on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, offering what she described as a “super-duper strategy” for the Democratic Party as it continues to struggle with low approval ratings and internal divisions.

Warren’s remarks came during an interview with CNN host Jake Tapper, who opened the segment by pointing to recent polling showing historic disapproval of the Democratic Party.

Tapper questioned why Democrats had not been able to capitalize on what he characterized as “chaos” under President Donald Trump’s administration.

“Given all the chaos, given that the president’s approval numbers are declining, and given all the uncertainty in the market, why do you think the Democratic Party has such a low approval rating?” Tapper asked.

“I would think this would be an opportunity for Democrats to rise and suggest an alternative, but it doesn’t seem like that’s happening. And as you know, your party’s approval ratings are historically low.”

In response, Warren said she believes the Democratic strategy should center around messaging that contrasts their economic priorities with those of President Trump.

“You know — look — the way I look at this is this is that Donald Trump has created a lot of chaos in his first three months in Washington,” Warren said.

“Remember, he started out — made the promise that on day one, he would lower prices for American families. Those were his words on day one.”

Warren then emphasized what she described as a unified Democratic message focused on lowering costs for families.

“The Democrats have really coalesced around the central message [that] our job is to fight to lower those costs for American families,” she said.

Warren went on to describe the party’s overall communications approach with a phrase that drew attention online.

“I think our secret, super-duper strategy is, just tell the truth about what’s going on,” she said.

“The American people will see pretty clearly who’s fighting for the billionaires and who’s fighting for them.”

The interview follows a stretch of strong polling numbers for President Trump, whose administration has emphasized fulfilling campaign promises in the early months of his second term.

Trump’s efforts have included executive actions focused on border security, economic deregulation, energy expansion, and military readiness, all of which were central to his 2024 campaign platform.

President Trump returned to office after defeating Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

During the previous administration, inflation reached its highest levels in decades, sparking criticism of Biden-era economic policies from both Republicans and some Democrats.

Warren’s interview came as Democratic leadership continues to face internal debates over how to respond to Trump’s resurgence and how to rebuild voter trust following Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 race.
