It must be a cold day in hell.

Why’s that? Well, Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas and Elon Musk have found common ground. Both took to X to voice their objections to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Crockett, ever one to speak her mind, was baffled at their newfound alliance.

“It’s truly a wild wild wild day when I’m saying that Elon is right! Mark this one on your calendars folks! I agree… the Reconciliation bill is TRASH!” Crockett posted to X from her personal account. “Remember this… not one Dem voted for it, but at least 2 Republicans had the courage to vote against it, in the house! America deserves better!” (RELATED: Elon Musk Has Left The Building, But He Helped Expose Democrats)

Musk, recently out at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has fired off a series of tweets taking the bill to task.

A new spending bill should be drafted that doesn’t massively grow the deficit and increase the debt ceiling by 5 TRILLION DOLLARS

“Call your Senator, Call your Congressman,” he implored his X followers. “Bankrupting America is NOT ok! KILL the BILL.”

“This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination,” reads another.

“It will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion (!!!) and burden America citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt,” Musk argued.

Musk is no stranger to shifting political winds. He was practically a liberal superhero less than a decade ago, before falling out of the left’s favor for scorning the “woke mind virus,” among other stances. His recent departure from Washington, D.C., could signal a new phase in Musk’s political alignment – or how it’s perceived, anyway.

Musk and Crockett aren’t alone in their criticism of the One Big Beautiful Bill. The bill, which squeaked through the House of Representatives by one vote, apparently garnered the votes of members who didn’t even read it.

“Full transparency, I did not know about this section on pages 278-279 of the [One Big Beautiful Bill] that strips states of the right to make laws or regulate [Artificial Intelligence] for 10 years,” Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia admitted on X. “I am adamantly OPPOSED to this and it is a violation of state rights and I would have voted NO if I had known this was in there.”

Granted, the bill is over 1000 pages long, but it still seems a reasonable expectation that our representatives read the text of the legislation they’d like the rest of us to abide by.
