Elon Musk wasted no time delivering a sharp rebuke to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after Trudeau claimed Donald Trump’s re-election was a blow to women’s progress.
Musk, known for his blunt commentary, fired back on his platform, X, labeling Trudeau an “insufferable tool” and predicting his political days are numbered.

As reported by The Daily Mail, Wednesday’s viral moment came after Trudeau’s speech in Ottawa, where he lamented, “We were supposed to be on a steady, if difficult sometimes, march towards progress. And yet, just a few weeks ago, the United States voted for a second time to not elect its first woman president.”
Musk, never one to mince words, retorted, “He’s such an insufferable tool. Won’t be in power for much longer.”
The comment quickly gained traction, with Musk’s followers chiming in to amplify the criticism.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump has taken his own jabs at Trudeau, calling him “Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada” on Truth Social. The quip followed a November meeting at Mar-a-Lago, where Trump jokingly suggested Canada become the 51st state.
Sources at the meeting reported that Trudeau nervously laughed off Trump’s suggestion but admitted a significant import tax on Canada could devastate its economy. In true Trump fashion, he suggested splitting Canada into two states—one conservative and one liberal—to balance the political scales.
Trump’s barbs didn’t stop there. A Truth Social post featured him standing by a Canadian flag with the caption, “Oh Canada!” He even floated the idea of a 25% tariff on Canadian imports unless Trudeau took action to curb illegal crossings into the U.S.
Both Elon Musk and Donald Trump represent a growing pushback against Trudeau’s liberal policies. While Musk uses his platform to amplify critiques of Trudeau’s governance, Trump’s focus remains on strong border security and economic leverage.
The prime minister may find himself increasingly isolated as conservative leaders and voices like Musk and Trump continue to spotlight his missteps.
