Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, whose district was impacted by Hurricane Helene and set to get slammed by Hurricane Milton, is urging the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assure that funds will no longer go towards illegal immigrants.
The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the letter to FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell, in which Paulina Luna says that the “mismanagement of taxpayer funds is unacceptable and requires immediate remedial action from FEMA.” She asks for “assurances” that “no further FEMA funds, budgeted by Congress and paid for by taxpayers, will be used to pay for costs imposed by the illegal migrant crisis.”
The Florida Congresswoman is also calling for new FEMA funding that “will immediately improve response and recovery efforts related to Hurricane Helene and pending storms. These funds must only be used on disaster recovery and must not be used on the illegal immigrant crisis.” (RELATED: FEMA’s Manpower Stretched To The Absolute Limit Even As Category 5 Hurricane Comes Rolling In)
