Hurricane Milton is at a Category 4 as it approaches Florida with a tornado watch in effect for its southern region, The Weather Channel reported. The storm is expected to make landfall Wednesday night with winds over 100 mph and heavy rain.
A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, purportedly shows a video of Jean-Pierre storming out of the press briefing room after being asked a question about Hurricane Helene relief funding.
The video was edited. The full video shows that Peter Doocy from Fox News asked about hurricane relief funding. Jean-Pierre did give a response saying that the administration has given an immense amount of aid, including “hundreds of millions of dollars” to “disaster help” and “prepositioned” federal help. The storm has already killed 230 and residents in western North Carolina are still waiting for help as many are left with no power or water, WRAL News reported. This is not the first time misinformation about Hurricane Helene has circulated online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim that FEMA will block Floridians from returning home.
