42-year-old Briana Boston was arrested and charged after she allegedly told a health insurance company, “you people are next,” according to Newsweek. She also said “delay, deny, depose,” which is similar to the words seen on the bullets 26-year-old Luigi Mangione allegedly used to shoot United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, the outlet reported.
An X post appears to show a New York Times article saying glorifying Mangione is “inherently anti-Israel.” The image appears to show an opinion piece from the outlet titled, “Why the Glorification of Luigi Mangione Is Inherently Anti-Israel.” Underneath this, a subheadline reads, “The shooting of Brian Thompson marks a new era of rage for this country.”
The post’s caption reads, “Ok now you know this dudes innocent #LuigiMangione.”
No such article was published by the outlet, however. Instead, this has been edited from a genuine New York Times article titled “What the Glorification of Luigi Mangione Reveals About America.” A search of the outlet’s website shows there is no matching result under the other title.
