Kennedy has reportedly pushed for his daughter-in-law to be appointed to the position of deputy director of the CIA, which wouldn’t need the Senate’s approval, The Independent. Amaryllis Fox Kennedy was a CIA agent for nearly a decade after being recruited in her 20s, according to the outlet.
A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, purports Kennedy said he will ban the soda in Jan. The post shows an image of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and Diet Coke.
“BREAKING: Effective January 20th will be BANNING all consumption of Diet Coke in the United States. It’s time to Make America Healthy Again! What’s your reaction?” the alleged caption reads.
The claim is inaccurate. The post appears to have originated from a parody account. The account features a disclaimer in the bio. “Official Robert F. Kennedy Jr Health Secretary Parody Account. The account shows posts of several different food products that Kennedy is purportedly banning,” the bio reads.
