FACT CHECK: Has Trump Suggested Replacing LGBTQ+ Pride Month With Veterans Month?

A viral post shared on Facebook claims President Donald Trump has purportedly suggested replacing LGBTQ+ Pride Month with Veterans Month.

Verdict: False

Trump has not referenced the claim on any of his social media accounts, including his personal and government X accounts, and there is no other evidence to support the claim.

Fact Check:

The White House has reportedly fired at least three National Security Council staffers following a meeting between Trump and Laura Loomer, according to CNN. Loomer urged Trump to fire the staffers, claiming they were being “disloyal,” the outlet reported.

The Facebook post, which has received over 100,000 likes as of writing, claims Trump has purportedly suggested replacing LGBTQ+ Pride Month with Veterans Month. “Donald Trump just suggested replacing pride month with veterans month in honor of those who served. What do you think?” the post, which does not provide a source to support its claim, reads.

The claim is false. Trump has not referenced the claim on his personal or government X accounts, his TRUTH Social account, or his verified social media accounts. Likewise, the claim does not appear on the White House’s website or its verified social media accounts. Check Your Fact also did not find any executive orders matching the claim.

In addition, Check Your Fact did not find any credible news reports to support the claim. If Trump had truly suggested replacing LGBTQ+ Pride Month with Veterans Month, then multiple media outlets would’ve covered it, yet none have. Actually, the opposite is true. On April 2, PolitiFact debunked the claim.
