FACT CHECK: No, RFK Jr. Did Not Make X Post Saying He’ll Ban MRNA Vaccines, Chemtrails

An image shared on Facebook purports to show an X post from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claiming he’ll ban mRNA vaccines and chemtrails in his first 6 months as Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Screenshot captured via Facebook

Verdict: False

The post, which was originally shared on X on Feb. 19, stems from @RFKJr_Official, a self-proclaimed parody account.

Fact Check:

Kennedy Jr. labeled a recent measles outbreak in Texas as a “call to action” in terms of vaccination, according to The Hill. Despite touting the efficacy of the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine in an opinion piece for Fox News, Kennedy Jr. said, “the decision to vaccinate is a personal one,” The Hill reported.

The Facebook image purports to show an X post from Kennedy Jr. claiming he’ll ban mRNA vaccines and chemtrails in his first six months as HHS Secretary.

“In My First 6 Months as HHS Secretary: I’ll ban mRNA vaccines. I’ll ban glyphosate and pesticides from our food. I’ll ban harmful food additives that are banned in other countries. I’ll ban fluoride from our water. I’ll ban chemtrails. I’ll make Ivermectin available over-the-counter. We’ll Make America HEALTHY Again,” the purported X post attributed to Kennedy Jr. reads.

The claim is false. The post, which was originally shared on X on Feb. 19, stems from @RFKJr_Official, a self-proclaimed parody account. The original post has over four million views as of writing. (RELATED: Donald Trump Jr. Did Not Say The US Should Send Weapons To Russia)

Likewise, Check Your Fact found no reference to the claim on Kennedy Jr.’s verified X account @RobertKennedyJr. HHS has not issued a press release or a social media statement to support the claim. President Donald Trump has not publicly commented on the claim, either.

In addition, Check Your Fact found no credible news reports to support the claim. Actually, the opposite is true. On Feb. 26, PolitiFact debunked the claim, tracing its origin to the same parody account on X.

Check Your Fact has contacted HHS for comment.
