Trump was addressing the reporter, not Starmer, according to the reporter himself.

Social media users are claiming that Trump cut off Starmer from answering a question about Canada. One user wrote, “Trump 🇺🇸 cuts off Starmer 🇬🇧 mid answer over Canada 🇨🇦 with: ‘That’s enough!’ Starmer’s bewilderment & silence speaks for the subservient obedience that defines UK 🇬🇧/ US 🇺🇸 relations.”

This claim is misleading. Trump was interrupting the journalist, not Starmer himself. The Independent’s Andrew Feinberg was asking a question about Canada before Trump interrupted him, according to The Independent.

“Donald Trump cut off The Independent‘s White House correspondent Andrew Feinberg as he pressed Sir Keir Starmer about the US president’s desire to make Canada the 51st state,” the outlet reported.
