Verdict: False

The YouTube account is tied to a different person, not to the alleged shooter.

Fact Check:

The alleged shooter who killed United Heath CEO Brian Thompson was charged with his killing, alongside other charges, according to CBS News. (RELATED: No, Poll Didn’t Show 64% Of Americans Support Hunter Biden’s Pardon)

Social media users are claiming that the alleged shooter left behind a message on a pre-recorded YouTube video. One user wrote,”[The shooter] gives ominous message via pre-recorded YouTube video, ‘All is scheduled, be patient. Bye for now.’”

This claim is false. If he had done so, media outlets would have covered it, yet none have. The video was uploaded minutes before it was released, making it impossible for the shooter to have scheduled it, per The Intercept.

“Analyzing video metadata using tools such as ExifTool and MediaInfo, The Intercept determined that this video was encoded and last modified on December 9, 2024 at 2:33 p.m. ET — two minutes before it published on YouTube. By that point, [the shooter] had already been in custody for hours. Unless he was editing clips while in police detention, this video couldn’t have been uploaded by [the shooter],” the Intercept reported.

YouTube confirmed that it had removed an account related to the shooter, but that it had remained inactive for seven months, according to CNN. Another channel was removed for impersonation, per the outlet.
