The claim is false and originally stems from a March 24 post shared by “America’s Last Line of Defense,” which is a satirical Facebook page.

MSNBC employees who work on Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid’s shows are being let go as part of a recent network overhaul, according to The Guardian. Employees who have worked on Maddow’s show are being given the option to collect severance or apply for other jobs at the network, the outlet reported.

The Facebook image claims MSNBC was purportedly “caught using leftist plants” to pretend they are Trump voters with “Buyer’s Remorse.” The image features what appears to be a small group of voters seated during an event. “The leftist media never learns. Nor does most of the leftist voters. Sad,” the image’s caption reads.

The claim is false and originally stems from a March 24 post shared by “America’s Last Line of Defense,” which is a satirical Facebook page. The Facebook page describes itself as “the flagship of the ALLOD network of trollery and propaganda for cash” before reiterating “nothing on this page is real.” The original post has received over 1,000 likes as of writing.

An article linked to the original post via its comment section claims alleged leftist plants posing as Trump voters were purportedly invited to appear on MSNBC programs such as “Morning Joe” and “The ReidOut” to share their stories of “disillusionment” with President Donald Trump. The article was published by “The Dunning-Kruger Times,” a satirical website that is a subsidiary of “America’s Last Line of Defense.”

Likewise, Check Your Fact did not find any reference to the claim on MSNBC’s website or its verified social media accounts. In addition, Trump does not appear to have publicly commented on the claim via his personal or government X accounts, his TRUTH Social account, or his verified social media accounts.
