The father of a Frisco, Texas, teen fatally stabbed during a high school track meet says he was escorted out of a press conference held by the alleged killer’s family after showing up unexpectedly to express a desire to pray together.

Jeff Metcalf, father of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, told The New York Post he felt “disrespected” after he arrived at the Thursday press event hosted by the family of Karmelo Anthony, the teen accused of fatally stabbing his son. The conference was organized days after Anthony was released from jail and placed on house arrest.

“They should have pulled me up [to the front] and said, ‘We are so sorry. Our condolences,’” Metcalf said.

“The only thing I would have said was, ‘Okay, can we pray together and show the world we’re united.’”

Instead, Metcalf was quickly removed from the building by Dallas police, bringing the press conference to a temporary standstill.

He said he did not attend with the intent to disrupt but wanted to speak on his son’s behalf after seeing online comments that, according to him, painted Austin as a violent bully.

Metcalf said his appearance was intended to address what he described as mischaracterizations of his son and to seek acknowledgment from the accused teen’s family.

“I just wanted to represent Austin,” he said.

Karmelo Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Metcalf, which reportedly took place earlier this month during an altercation over a seat at a school track event. Both boys were 17 years old.

At the press event, held in a private Dallas venue, Anthony’s mother, Kala Hayes, emotionally addressed the crowd and media, calling out what she described as “lies and false accusations” that have circulated about their family.

Hayes claimed the coverage and public statements “have put my family in danger.”

The event began with a delay of approximately 30 minutes as organizers attempted to respond to Metcalf’s unannounced arrival.

According to Metcalf, he received messages from the district attorney’s office and from his ex-wife urging him to leave.

“I get a text. My phone’s blowing up. It’s the f**king DA. He said, ‘Jeff, leave! Leave! Leave!’” Metcalf recalled.

“My ex-wife texts me: ‘Leave, leave, leave!’ They’ll call the cops if I don’t get the f**k out of there.”

Following the incident, both Metcalf and his ex-wife were targeted in “swatting” incidents — fake emergency calls that result in a heavy police response.

Metcalf confirmed the incidents to The Post and also revealed he resigned from his job in real estate out of concern for the safety of his clients and coworkers.

In addition to criticism from the Anthony family, Metcalf drew remarks from Dominique Alexander, an activist with the Next Generation Action Network, who called his appearance “a disrespect to the dignity of his son.”

Insanity. Dominique Alexander, who represents Karmelo Anthony, just attacked Austin Metcalf’s father Jeff for attending a press conference held by the Anthony family, calling his presence “a disrespect to the dignity of his son.”

Metcalf responded to the criticism directly, saying, “After I leave, that Dominique … just gaslights to sh*t out of me. Says I’m disrespecting, I’m so disrespectful, I’m disrespecting the dignity of my son by showing up … and I’m just like whatever, dude. My character’s been assassinated. Or they’ve tried to assassinate my character.”

Despite the confrontation, Metcalf emphasized that his goal was to acknowledge both families’ suffering.

“This is my point: We’re both victims. My son’s dead. Their son will be in prison. But it’s the end of the day, [Karmelo] needs to be accountable for his actions,” he said.

As of now, Anthony remains under house arrest while the case proceeds.

No trial date has been set.
