FBI Arrests ‘Georgia Man’ for Alleged Threats Against Tulsi Gabbard Days After CNN Doxed Her

The FBI has confirmed the arrest of a Georgia man accused of making threats against President Donald Trump and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

The arrest was carried out on Friday by FBI agents from the Atlanta field office, but few details have been released so far.

According to a brief report from Fox 5 Atlanta, the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Aliakbar Mohammed Amin of Lilburn, Georgia, was taken into custody on Friday.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the specific nature of the threats, the method of communication used, or the precise charges Amin may face.

A spokesperson for the FBI indicated that more information about the arrest will be made public on Monday.

While the case remains under investigation, the arrest has drawn additional attention due to a recent incident involving Gabbard and media coverage of her personal safety.

Earlier this week, The Daily Wire reported that CNN had come under fire for a story that disclosed the address of a Texas property connected to Gabbard, despite warnings from her office that credible threats had been made against her.

Gabbard’s deputy chief of staff, Alexa Henning, responded sharply to CNN’s decision, stating: “I told CNN that Tulsi Gabbard had credible, active threats against her and her family and they went ahead and doxxed her address anyway.”

The Gabbard team reportedly considered legal action, accusing the network of compromising the director’s safety.

The arrest also comes in the wake of Gabbard’s recent comments on national security and terrorism concerns.

In February, Gabbard publicly raised concerns about rising threats stemming from unvetted migration across the U.S. southern border and the Biden-Harris administration’s approach to terrorism prevention.

“We look at the past four years of open borders, where we had tens of millions of people coming across our borders, many of whom we don’t know who they are or what their intentions are,” Gabbard said at the time.

“Very specifically the threat of radical Islamist terrorism here within our country is higher than it’s ever been before, not only because of Biden’s open borders, but because of his and his administration’s fear of being called Islamophobes.”

As of now, no authorities have publicly confirmed whether Amin’s motivations were religious, political, or otherwise.

The FBI has not provided further background on the suspect or whether any additional individuals may be connected to the case.

The incident adds to a growing number of threats and plots targeting political figures, including a recent case involving an individual known online as “Mr. Satan,” who was arrested in connection with a threat against President Trump.

Federal authorities continue to investigate these types of threats, and prosecutions are expected to follow when sufficient evidence is presented.
