A 20-year-old Florida woman who targeted wealthy men at upscale Miami hotels, pepper-sprayed them, and stole their high-end watches, has been sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to two counts of robbery, as reported by the New York Post.
Esther Torres was sentenced Wednesday to five years’ probation in connection to two incidents that occurred in late March, where she lured male victims to hotels and used pepper spray to disable them before stealing luxury items from their persons.
One of the victims lost a $22,000 Rolex Submariner watch during the attack.

According to Law & Crime, the first incident took place at the Breakwater Hotel in Miami Beach. Torres pepper-sprayed the victim and removed his Hugo Boss watch, along with more than $200 in cash and euros, as well as several credit cards.

The second incident occurred at the Fontainebleau Hotel, where Torres allegedly used the same method to rob another man, this time taking his Rolex watch. The victim in the second case said the pepper spray left him temporarily blind.
Surveillance footage from both hotels captured Torres fleeing the scene after the robberies. Mitch Novick, owner of the Sherbrooke Hotel nearby, told WSVN that he provided authorities with security video to assist in identifying the suspect.
“We have a predator, and she’s preying on male victims,” Novick said.
Police identified Torres in April after she arrived at the scene of a separate traffic stop involving a man who had been arrested. She provided her driver’s license to officers, which allowed them to connect her to the two robberies.
A subsequent arrest occurred in May during a traffic stop.
Body-worn camera footage from the arrest was released, showing Torres dressed in a white strapless top and hair bonnet. In the footage, an officer can be heard asking Torres, “You have no weapons on you, none of that stuff, right?” to which she responded, “No, no.”
Police said a child was present in Torres’ vehicle during the arrest. The child was picked up by another party before Torres was transported to jail.

Law enforcement initially charged Torres with two counts of first-degree robbery and ordered her held without bond. In June, she was granted a recognizance bond and later released. She is no longer in the jail system following Wednesday’s sentencing.
