Methinks that trouble may be brewing in Michigan for Rashida Tlaib. And well-deserved trouble at that.
The congresswoman from Michigan appeared at the People’s Conference for Palestine to vent her spleen at the “genocide enablers” of America. Spewing profanity, Tlaib riled up the radical activists by promising that radicals on all causes would unite under the Hamas banner, or something.
Actually, that may be more coherence than Tlaib deserves, at least for this part of the rant (via Twitchy):
🚨 Rep. Rashida Tlaib at the People’s Conference for Palestine
At one of the most radical conferences in America, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib took the stage and lashed out at critics.

She then celebrated the expansion of the cause:
“They are just growing and growing. We are bringing siblings from other movements with us.”
Yes, that’s how all cancers work. They metastasize unless excised fully from the body — the body politic. in this case. Perhaps the voters in Tlaib’s D+21 House district in Detroit and Dearborn might consider some electoral surgery in the near future, but that would require a primary challenge, since this is one of the safest Democrat seats in the House.
Will a Democrat ever stand up to challenge Tlaib? Perhaps, given this blast at Tlaib from the Left. Former Biden aide Yemisi Egbewolf blasted Tlaib this morning on Fox & Friends for attending the conference at all, given the rhetoric of its featured speakers, one of whom called America “evil” (not Tlaib). “Rashida Tlaib does not sound like a sitting member of Congress,” the former Biden White House press office chief of staff told Lawrence Jones. “She sounds like an activist who has no responsibility to the people who elected her.”
But it’s what Egbewolf says next that sounds like a warning:
“She sounds like an activist who has no responsibility to the people who elected her.”

EGBEWOLF: She was elected in 2018, and she sits in a seat that John Conyers vacated, who still holds the record as the longest-serving black member of Congress. The people who elected her didn’t elect her on the Gaza-Palestinian issue.
Technically, that’s true. Tlaib got elected to the MI-13 seat after Conyers’ resignation, but she was redistricted into MI-12 after her first re-election bid in 2020. She’s not literally in the “Conyers seat” now, but Egbewolf isn’t just splitting hairs here either. Black voters make up nearly 45% of the electorate in MI-12, and white voters run just slightly ahead at 46%. If black voters get tired of having their issues overlooked in favor of a small enclave of Arab-American voters in Dearborn, they may well embrace someone from their own community in a primary challenge to Tlaib.
Now, combine this with Tlaib’s outright hostility to Biden over the Gaza war, and Egbewolf’s sudden outspokenness suddenly seems potent. The picture on this post reminds readers that Tlaib made it personal with the Biden White House, and some of those alums may have more personal motivations to gin up a challenger to the congresswoman from Hamas. Egbewolf’s appearance on Fox News may be a signal to ambitious young pols in the MN-12 area to start making plans to crank up a campaign against one of the worst cranks in the House.
And here I am, buying popcorn by the pallet for it, just in case.
Editor’s Note: Rashida Tlaib is a radical stain on Congress, and like the rest of the Squad, aims to impose their wishes by force if necessary to turn America into an autocracy — or worse.
