Carl Higbie recently discussed a terror attack in which an American citizen with a criminal record, driving a truck adorned with an ISIS flag, plowed into a crowd, killing 10 and injuring 36.

In his commentary, Higbie did not hold back in calling the attack what it was: terrorism.

He criticized the gun-free zones, the FBI’s initial reluctance to label the event as terrorism, and the failure of border security in preventing the attack.

Higbie began by stating, “Terror attack, told you so now I’m not I’m not taking a moment to soften this blow. I’m going to call what it is. I’m not politicizing it. I’m just calling balls and strikes. We said this was going to happen, and just like almost everything else we said was true, it happened.”

He further detailed the identity of the attacker, naming him as Sham Sud Din Jabar, a U.S. citizen with a criminal record, including theft and driving without a license. Despite this, Jabar was able to join the Army for five years. “This guy also had a stolen Glock, as we know now, and a 308 rifle,” Higbie added.

Higbie pointed to gun-free zones as a critical issue, referencing the situation in New Orleans, where such zones made it easier for criminals to carry out their plans.

“After Louisiana passed constitutional carry a few years ago, the City Council in New Orleans made it a vocational school zone that banned guns. There. It was a gun-free zone,” he said. “How’s that possible? Because criminals don’t abide by laws, like this guy, only law-abiding victims abide by those laws.”

Turning to the FBI’s initial response, Higbie noted the contradiction in their statements.

Initially, the FBI agent on site downplayed the attack, saying, “This is not a terrorist event.” However, shortly after, the FBI’s official social media account clarified the situation, stating, “We are working with our partners to investigate this as an act of terrorism.”

Higbie was quick to point out that the attack involved improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and bombs planted around the area, underscoring the severity of the situation.

Higbie also raised concerns about the U.S.-Mexico border, noting that the truck used in the attack crossed the border at Eagle Pass, Texas, just days before the incident.

“This truck crossed two days ago through Eagle Pass, Texas,” Higbie explained. “Yes, that’s the same Eagle Pass Texas that the Supreme Court allowed the federal government to cut the razor wire that the state of Texas put up.”

He continued, stating that while Jabar was a U.S. citizen, other individuals on the terrorist watch list have crossed the border, and the full scope of the attack is still unclear. “We don’t know who else was involved,” he added.

“They say it was allegedly two people at this time, but who were the others that he was working with? They also were, they also members of ISIS.”

Higbie connected the attack to the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq, which he blamed for the creation of ISIS.

He stated, “ISIS was, in fact, created by Barack Obama’s abrupt withdrawal from Iraq under the strategic plan of none other than our current secretary of defense at the time, General Lloyd Austin.”

He also reflected on his own experience in Fallujah, stating, “I was there in 2009 in Fallujah with my hands tied behind my back by these stupid rules of engagement, and I wasn’t allowed to go kill these people now they’re here, in this case, influencing an American citizen to mow people down at a New Year’s celebration.”

Higbie concluded with a harsh criticism of Democratic policies. “How do any of these policies of Democrats protect, help or in any way, make America better off? They don’t,” he said, highlighting his frustration with the leadership that he believes is putting Americans in danger.
