Gavin Newsom Then: We Need Chinese EVs in America; Now: Musk and Trump Ceding EV Market to China

Gavin Newsom is worse than pond scum. Worse than the sludge in a sewage treatment plant. 

His brand of politics is more toxic than cyanide; his character makes Satan look fair, because you can at least out-fiddle Satan.

Gavin Newsom just said in an interview that Elon Musk is a huge disappointment for “ceding the EV space to China.”

Newsom called China’s expansion in the EV market a national security issue and said that he really fears it.

Newsom is such a fraud.

During the pandemic Newsom awarded a one billion dollar, no bid contract to China EV manufacturer BYD to make masks, even though the company had never manufactured masks or any health care supplies before. Newsom even paid them $500 million up front to help them get started before ultimately extending the contract past a billion dollars.

In 2023 Newsom flew to China and met with BYD to discuss bringing their cars into the states.

Newsom: “We’ve got to get these in the states.”

As usual, nothing Newsom says bears any relationship to reality. Perhaps that is because, as he admits, he is stupid. 

Naaah. He’s a lying scumbag. He doesn’t spout BS because bull excrement dries up and quits stinking. His words are more like the results of emesis—they stink so much, and as they rot, they attract every nasty insect you can imagine. 

I wish I could say what I really think about him, but…well, you know. 

Newsom even picked BYD, a Chinese car company, to provide MASKS during the COVID pandemic, despite the company not being in the mask business in the first place. He shipped off a billion dollars to a Chinese electric car company. 

Newsom has had a long relationship with Chinese EV companies, sourced electric buses from BYD, and is now complaining that Elon Musk and Trump are handing over the EV market to China. 

Musk? That’s his business. Sure, got it. 

Scumbag. I wish I could say what I really think about this putrid pile of rotting brains.

Newsom is now blaming Musk for ceding the EV market to China, without mentioning the fact that Newsom himself put in policies to disadvantage Tesla in the California market. 

n November 2024, Newsom proposed a new state-level EV rebate program to replace the federal $7,500 tax credit that Trump had pledged to eliminate.

The proposal was designed as a successor to California’s Clean Vehicle Rebate Program, which ended in 2023 after spending $1.49 billion to subsidize more than 594,000 vehicles.

But it included market-share limitations that could have excluded Tesla.

Musk criticized the idea of barring the automaker from EV subsidies, writing on X, “Even though Tesla is the only company that manufactures their EVs in California! This is insane.”

That’s a Biden-level move. As you recall, with Biden’s EV push he excluded Tesla from all his presentations and meetings, just as he excluded SpaceX from his rural broadband initiative, which not coincidentally has connected precisely ZERO people to broadband despite tens of billions in funding. 

Scumbags. 

Is it any wonder that this guy is at the top of the heap in Democratic Party politics. He has zero redeeming features, aside from a rather pretty skinsuit and a willingness to lie with every utterance. 

Totally on brand for the Democrats.
